Potential New Groups

Your Help Needed

A Message from Groups’ Co-ordinator:  Sally Barnard

We have about 30 groups currently and are hugely grateful to the Leaders/Co-ordinators of them, some of whom have been leading for many years and   others who have joined more recently.

With our membership now at 360+ (the highest    ever) the time has come to encourage, and above all support, newer members to take on the role of Leaders.

My recent emails to you all have suggested new groups that members would like:

SHORT TENNIS – URGENT RESPONSE NEEDED

We are trying to get that started in Normandy Village Hall on a Thursday afternoon in the Line Dancing slot before Badminton starts. Decision needs to be made by 21st October as the booking for January onwards needs to be confirmed by November.

WALKING NETBALL

Unfortunately, this has gone on a back burner. I had thought that by now someone would have come forward to shadow me in my role as Groups’ Co-ordinator ready to take over in January when I stand down from the Committee. You could then have helped set up this group with me helping you.

When I have sorted Spanish and Short Tennis I will focus on Walking Netball again. Sorry to those of you who were interested.

Thanks

SALLY BARNARD
