The Family History group membership has a wide range of knowledge and experience. Our aim is to help each other make progress, share success and pitfalls. The topics we discuss are far reaching and, even if they don’t directly affect your family now, they may do so in the future. In recent years it has become much easier to research from home using the internet but it is possible to work without it. Members can ask for help with problems or take the opportunity to boast about an amazing ancestor or success with a tricky piece of research. These meetings can give you the chance to share your own research or to explain what you would like to find if just starting. You can discuss the aims of your research and the various computer programs to record them. By listening to how someone overcame a hurdle, the answer to your query could be somewhere where you haven’t thought to look.
Not sure if we are what you are looking for? Contact Wendy or come to a meeting as a visitor.
