Writing for pleasure is always our aim
But to masterpieces we cannot lay claim.
We meet once a month to share what we’ve written,
It’s mainly for fun; but you can get bitten
By the bug to improve your poems and prose.
So come and join us and be one of those
In our friendly small group of ladies and blokes
And share the pleasure of writing with like minded folks.
The creative writing group is an endangered species
Which is on the brink of extinction
In Ash there are now only 5 specimens left in captivity
An injection of new blood is desperately needed.
You could help, you could become a creative writer!
All you need is a pencil, a sheet of paper and a rubber
(Or a laptop) and an evening, once a week
When the T.V. is too boring to watch
(But when does that ever happen?)
Then you could bring your short story, essay or poem
Along to our friendly non-critical monthly meeting
Where smiling faces are predominant
And tea and coffee flow
At the moment the group is in a state of hibernation
But hopes to wake in September with
Some new members, bright eyed, bushy tailed
And raring to go
Could you be one of those new members?
