Discover the ever-changing garden at Hinton Ampner. No matter what season you visit, there will be something to delight and inspire. With exceptional views over the South Downs from the south lawn, the Sunken Garden with its lily pond and the productive walled garden, there is always something beautiful to enjoy.
Late summer in the garden
In later summer, you’ll also find plenty of other delights such ornamental grasses, espaliered fruit trees and an abundance of soft fruit amongst the sprawling canes. Giant onions dry in the golden afternoon sun while pumpkins, leeks and parsnips continue to swell in the cooler conditions.
The café is the perfect place to relax and satisfy your taste buds during your visit. Housed in one of the oldest buildings on the Hinton estate, the café was formerly the stable block, as well as the village Social Club, making it a historic hub of activity that's no different today.
