Directions: Simplest - take the A331 to the M3 junction. Head towards Basingstoke on the M3. After 1.7miles take the A327 exit follow signs for Blackwater/Yateley/Reading. Continue on A327 for about 2 miles, at the 3rd roundabout continue straight onto Cricket Hill Lane. After about 0.6miles take the sharp right turning (obscure big green sign at entrance) onto the gravel access road that leads to the Wyndham’s Pool Car Park. Alternatively follow the SatNav, more cross country.
The Walk: Mainly through woodland though some heathland areas. No stiles and flat apart from a short down and up with good steps. Starting at Wyndham’s Pool we head towards Castle Bottom Nature Reserve where there are placid wild horses. Returning via areas of the disused part of Blackbushe Airport and Yateley Common. Shorts should be ok.
