Bringing people together

Computer Support

This group was started in autumn 2019. The direction and topics of the group are decided, mainly, by its members. Topics for the terms are decided by a simple majority of members. We support and encourage all abilities and work on the ethos that there is no such thing as a silly question – It’s just a question someone else didn’t think to ask.

Meeting Dates

Depending on the topic being discussed, members are encouraged to bring their devices with them, where practical. The Ash Centre does have Wi-Fi, which we use from time to time.

Some group members are learning my version of the European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL). If this interests you, please get in touch ASAP.

As we may use the Councils Wi-Fi, we are required to follow their T&Cs

Meetings are held at the Ash Parish Council offices, normally on the first Monday of the month and run between 10:15 and 11:15. We will be covering all types of devices.

At each group meeting there are usually handouts, covering the topics discussed. These are emailed out to group members. Because of issues uploading some documents to this site, I have transferred them to this site –

Membership is restricted to a maximum of twelve, as a larger group is difficult to manage, and we still need to have social distancing..

If you are interested in finding out more, please contact me – Tom Gardner (Group Leader) –

I look forward to seeing you.
