Computer Support

Update July 2020 – Due to Covid-19 classes are suspended until further notice. If enough member shows an interest, then we can use an online platform, such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams for group meetings.

Please contact me for further information – Tom Gardner –

This group was started in autumn 2019. The direction and topics of the group are decided, mainly, by its members. Topics for the terms are decided by a simple majority of members. We support and encourage all abilities and work on the ethos that there is no such thing as a silly question – It’s just a question someone else didn’t think to ask.

Depending on the topic being discussed, members are encouraged to bring their devices with them, where practical. The Ash Centre does have Wi-Fi, which we use from time to time.

As we are using the Councils Wi-Fi, we are required to follow their T&Cs

Meetings are held at the Ash Parish Council offices, normally on the first Monday of the month and run between 10:15 and 11:15. We will be covering all types of devices.

At each group meeting there are usually handouts, covering the topics discussed. These are emailed out to group members. Because of issues uploading some documents to this site, I have transferred them to this site –

Membership is restricted to a maximum of eighteen as a larger group is difficult to manage.

If you are interested in finding out more, please contact me – Tom Gardner (Group Leader) –

I look forward to seeing you.

There are many online communities who can help you with learning about your device or where you run into an issue. The link below takes you to a page with some examples. Of course, there are many other sites.
