Blackwater Valley leisure centre and Hawley Woods
Because of the Amber Heat health alert – high temperatures and humidity – only 5 of us walked from the leisure centre this morning – Gill, Helen, Derek, Eileen and Reg. The walk was reduced to 2 3/4 miles with as much as possible in the shade.
Three more people joined us for the picnic and we were able to sit in the shade by not sitting in front of the Cafe and moving round as the sun moved.
We hope to be able to do the longer walk next year !
