Membership & Renewal
Ash u3a membership is managed via the Beacon Portal and payments made using PayPal or your Credit or Debit card
Our annual membership fee from 1st September 2026 to 31st August 2027 is £11.00.
For new members joining after 31st March 2027 the fee is £6.00 until 31st August 2027.

If for whatever reason you cannot access Beacon or are unable to make a payment, please use the Online Membership Form.
As a last resort, you can download the form and complete by hand then make payment at the Monthly Meeting where the Treasurer will be in attendance.
Gift Aid
If you are a UK taxpayer, you can allow Ash u3a to reclaim tax on your subscription as Ash u3a is a registered charity, number 1091390. However, if you pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax in the current tax year than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all your donations it will be your responsibility to pay any difference to HMRC.
Gift Aid on Joint Membership Payments
If a payment comes from an individual account, only one claim is allowed. To ensure both donations can be claimed, members should pay from a joint account or make two separate individual payments.
Terms and Conditions of Membership
All members must:
- Abide by the principles of the u3a movement
- Always act in the best interests of the u3a and never do anything to bring the u3a into disrepute
- Abide by the terms and conditions of the constitution
- Treat fellow members with respect and courtesy at all times
- Comply with and support the decisions of the elected committee
- Advise the Membership Secretary of any change in your personal details
