Bringing People Together

Healthy Walking

Our walks are relatively easy, about  3 1/2 to 4 miles taking around 1 ½ to 1 ¾ hours at a steady pace. All walks are planned and led by group members and cover various parts of the lovely countryside around Ash. We finish at our starting points which are often pub car parks, or close by so refreshments can be enjoyed afterwards with friends and group members if wanted. New members are always very welcome to try us out and see if Healthy Walking is for them.

All walks are subject to COVID-19 rules – walks MAY be cancelled at short notice – depending on changes in Government guidelines or directives – please check website!

Healthy Walking - Old Woking and the Wey path

Flat walk along canal and water meadows

From 10.15am for 10.30 am start until 12.30

GU22 9JX

Organiser: Jim Forsyth

A flat walk along the canal and water meadows near the river Wey.

There are no climbs BUT THERE ARE TWO STILES and could be one muddy patch.

Directions

The nearest Post code is GU22 9JX - (Manor Way) but the car park is NOT in that road. (If you use Manor Mews in Sat Nav - it does take you to the correct road - but it doesn't have a different post code...)

If coming to Old Woking via A3, A247 go past the NEW INN on your left, to a mini roundabout where Sat Nav will direct you wrongly .  Go straight over the mini roundabout and continue to the second and free car park at the end of that road.

If coming to Old Woking from A324, B380 the Sat Nav will direct you into Manor Way - ignore that and go on to mini roundabout and take first exit .  Again continue down this road to the second and free car park .
