Bringing People Together

I let you go by Clare Mackintosh

We almost had full attendance, but a lot minute rugby tackle derailed that, however all members provided their views on the book which came out at a respectable 8.5

The plot twists were well executed and left some of us thinking we had missed a crucial piece of information, only to find all of us had felt the same, so top marks for that.

The main characters were well written, even if not well liked. The supplemental characters had a few holes in their narrative but it did not detract from the main thrust of the book.

We were all left with a few “what happened to?” questions.

We also questioned the need to go into such detail when describing the interactions between two of the main protagonists but it did create some interesting further discussions.

The author was recommended by a group member, and we found a few of us had read other of her books. She is certainly an author who can craft a story.
