Lakeside and along Blackwater
Gill lead a throng of 24 from the car park at the Lakeside Nature Reserve the wrong way round a familiar route. From the car park we made our way in a light drizzle to the canal. Across the aqueduct and past Ash Lock until we arrived at the Aldershot Garrison Community Hub for a short break. As the sun came out we headed of back into the woods and past Hollybush Hill to the Blackwater River. Then a gentle wander back to the car park.
On the way it became apparent spring is really on its way with buds appearing all over the place and almost a carpet of water hyacinths on the river.
