London Summer Walk 2019
A very wet walk from High St Kensington Station making our way to Holland Park. Passing Holland House first stop was at the park café for coffee, we continued through the Dutch Garden to the Japanese-style Kyoto Garden. Having looked around this we explored some more of Holland Park and then we left and threaded our way through some well heeled back streets to Kensington Gardens. Here we pick up the Princess Diana Memorial Walk, stopping for lunch at the Broad Walk café. Then on though Kensington Gardens passing near the Round Pond and taken in the Italian Water Garden before we left the park and entered Hyde Park. We continued to Hyde Park Corner and Rotten Row from where we made our way through the Rose Garden, following the Serpentine, skirting the Lido and seeing the Princess Diana Memorial Fountain before leaving the park to re-enter Kensington Gardens. We passed the Albert Memorial the route taking us through planted borders to Kensington Palace and the beautiful Sunken Garden. We then headed out to Bayswater Road, passing Kensington Palace Gardens from where it was a short distance to our starting point at High St Kensington Station. Below are some of the photo’s taken on the day
