The 2026 AGM and Open Day
Helped by the warm sunny weather 119 members attended the 2026 AGM held at the Ash Centre.
We also had a good number of potential members finding out about what was on offer at the preceding Open Day. Hopefully this will see a rise in our membership over the next few months.
During the Trustees Report the Chair thanked the following group leaders and trustees who have stood down over the last year: Monika Lock, Peter Barker, Penny Thomsett, Peter Churchley, Rod Dengate, Sandra Tilley, Adrienne Evans, Meg Wilson, Tom Gardener, Diana Wilson and Eileen Monds.
The Treasurer explained that the membership fee, up from £10 to £11 to cover the increased costs of running our u3a. Those who wish to receive the Third Age Matters magazine will now be required to pay for postage (it was costing us over £800/year to cover this expense).

The new Committee was voted in and is: Graham Smith (Chair), Michelle Smith (Secretary), Debbie Milton (Treasurer), Gay Buckingham, Peter Stratford, Shelagh Kidd.
We also managed an excellent Mexican wave. You had to be there!
