The Crown and Cushion
After a number of attempts to attend Michelle and I finally made to the Thursday Lunchers. The January venue was the Crown and Cushion in Minley.
This Thursday. 17 stalwart members braved the inclement weather and settled down on two tables for what was a most convivial afternoon.
If you have never been to the Crown and Cushion it’s worth a visit. There is good parking, a warm and welcoming atmosphere and a decent choice of menu items. Many chose the set menu (pdf) as it provided good value for money.
The service was excellent despite the full restaurant and conversation flowed. Thanks to Ali and Rod for organising. I think I managed to chat to everyone, if you missed out I apologise and will try harder next time.

As we were leaving a chap on a nearby table asked if we were a group. I said we were u3a members and he told me he used to be part of the u3a in the wine appreciation group. Spending the afternoon appreciating wine seems to be an excellent idea…
