Theatre Visits

It is just over a year since the relaunch of the Theatre Visits group, and we have certainly been busy! We usually go to the Yvonne Arnaud in Guildford as they have a varied programme and it is easily accessible, in spite of parking difficulties. Most of us now go by bus. We have also made a few visits to the National Theatre, which is also very accessible as it is so near to Waterloo Station. It is hard to pick out highlights, but more recent ones at the Yvonne Arnaud were “The best exotic Marigold Hotel”, which was delightful, and “ The Beekeeper of Aleppo”, which was moving and thought-provoking. The highlight at the National was “Standing at the Sky’s Edge”, which won the Olivier award for best new musical. In all cases we have gone to matinée performances. Other shows are, or will be, in the pipeline – see below for current bookings.
If you are interested in joining the group you can phone me.
