Directions – At double mini roundabout in centre of Hindhead follow National Trust sign for Devil’s Punchbowl (a no through road). Meet at the far end of the car park. If coming down the A3 the exit for Hindhead is immediately after the end of the tunnel.
The walk – Heathland and woods with fantastic views (weather permitting). Fairly gentle inclines and descents with two short steep sections, one up, one down. No stiles.
Car park info – Free to members (don’t forget your card), otherwise £4. If everyone who has a NT card could bring it please, whether driving or not, then there is a good chance we’ll have enough to go round and avoid anyone having to pay. I’ll be bringing a spare. Minimising the number of cars by sharing would help too.
