Directions: From Ash Vale Station take the Vale Road B3411 towards Ash. After 0.5 miles turn left into Heath Vale Bridge Road and the pub is on the corner on the right after the canal bridge. Park in the car park.
The walk: 5.9 miles with hills kept to a minimum. Some road crossings, all but one quiet. No stiles but some brambles to beware of.
