The walk: 5 miles, mostly flat with one long moderately steep ascent and descent, no stiles, parts may be muddy following rain.
Getting there: from Ash library head in Easterly direction along Ash Street (i.e. in direction of Ash station). On reaching the sharp left hand bend turn off right and then right into South Lane. Continue straight on to car park at very end of South Lane (ignore the right turn into Hammersley Drive). The car park is small, but if necessary it should be possible to park in South Lane near the car park.
