Jenny Mallin visited us last February to recount tales of her life in India. She has been invited back to talk to us about her time working for the BBC.
Jenny's talk today is based upon her own experiences as a production assistant working in television during the 1970s. Jenny feels honoured to have been part of the television industry at a time when there was money in the budget for big dramas, a time when the BBC were producing some of the best light entertainment programmes ever and she feels lucky that she was able to contribute to this in her own unique way. Jenny will deliver a fascinating insight into how life was working at the iconic Television Centre in London and in her own way will deliver reminders of what the BBC stood for when television had only three channels and colour television was relatively new but audience figures of 20 million for the Christmas Morecambe & Wise would be unimaginable these days...
