Edwardian country house with lavish paintings, tapestries, and antiques collections, in vast estate. The gardens at Polesden Lacey have something to offer in every season. From exceptional views over Ranmore Common from the South Lawn, to peace and quiet in the old kitchen garden and upper sunk garden, to stunning colour and scent around the rose garden and double herbaceous borders, there is always something beautiful to enjoy.

Directions: Take the A281 from Guildford towards Shalford . Turn left into The Pilgrims Way (opposite the entrance to Shalford Park). Take the 2nd right into Clifford Manor Road and park in the road.

Info: Circa 5 Miles over open farmland and riverside tow path. There is one steep decent. Walking pole users are advised to bring them.

Directions: From Runfold heading in Farnham dirn turn left into Crooksbury Road (Barfield School on opposite corner). Continue for approx 1 mile and Crooksbury Hill car park is on the left going down the hill. Note postcode is nearest.

Walk info: Mainly woodland tracks, gently undulating. No stiles. May be muddy in places depending on recent weather. 250m approx of road/roadside walking on B road. Optional steep climb near the end to top of Crooksbury Hill.
