Broadwater Country Park & the River Wey, a very pleasant 3 1/4 mile walk taking in Broadwater Lake & Park, the River Wey and Riverside Meadows.
Meet at the Broadwater Public Car Park (free) next to Godalming & Farncombe Leisure Centre, GU7 3BH. Suggest allow 25/30 minutes for the 9 mile journey from Ash Vale. The leisure centre welcomes us for liquid refreshments & snacks after our walk.
For those who don't have Sat Nav; take the A323 Guildford Rd from Dover garage, turn right at Wyke Church on B3000 Westwood Lane, continue to top of hill & turn right on B3000 under A31, continue on B3000, over the A 3 junctions & then through Compton, continue past Loseley house. Over the railway bridge & immediately sharp right signposted Guildford Crematorium. Continue past the crematorium entrance, pass a school & then turn left for the Leisure Centre, drive past the centre entrance & in front of you a right fork leads down to the public car park.
