The lane into Hankley Common Upper Car park has been resurfaced so there are no nasty potholes for car drivers to worry about. We will use the lower car park in case the Upper Car Park is still closed.
To drive there, head south out of Elstead on Thursley Road past Moat Pond until you get to the double bend. Taking care, bear right at the second corner to continue straight down the narrow resurfaced lane until you see the sign for the Upper Car Park. Turn left and proceed along the unmetalled road to the car park on the left - see photo.
The 3.5ml walk will be "all weather" with no styles, minimal mud and glorious views of SW Surrey after a gentle incline where we will have a mid-walk break.
