The walk: 5.4 miles across mainly farmland tracks and pasture apart from town sections at beginning and end. Four short road/lane sections (no pavement) of total distance 0.5miles and two road crossings. A few gentle slopes and 5 stiles to negotiate. Generally firm under foot but might get a little sticky after prolonged rain.
It is advised not to wear shorts.
Directions: from Hale, take the A3016, then A287, towards Odiham. After a few miles take L at roundabout to Odiham town centre. On entering town centre take R into London Rd, signed Canal Centre, and continue to car park at very end.
