Directions: Head for Church Crookham, then Crookham Village, then follow signs to Dogmersfield. At the Queens Head keep right, signed Winchfield. At the Barley Mow turn left into Spratt's Hatch Lane and car park is immediately on the left.
The walk: C 4.5miles. Flat, muddy in places in wet weather. Mixture of canal tow path, parkland and approx 1 mile of road/lane walking. Roads generally have wide grassy verges. No stiles.
