Directions: From A323 heading towards Fleet turn left onto the Aldershot Rd. to Church Crookham. In Church Crookham turn right onto Gally Hill Rd. After 0.6m at the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto The Street. Continue on crossing the Basingstoke Canal once. Continue for 1.1m through Crookham Village and in Dogmersfield on Pilcot Rd. take a slight right onto Chatter Alley. After 0.9m when you see the Barley Mow pub turn left onto Sprats Hatch Lane and immediately left into the car park by the canal.
Description: An easy walk of 5miles. Starting along a very attractive stretch of the canal then across fields and woodland. Basically flat with no stiles. May be one or two muddy bits mainly along the towpath and one field where we may detour onto the road if it’s wet. Poles may be useful for balance if walking round muddy bits but the paths themselves are pretty good.
The Barley Mow Pub is at the finish for those interested.
