Directions - From the A31 Hog's Back take the B3000 in A3 direction. Towards the bottom of the hill take the 1st right into Puttenham (The Street) and then 1st left into Suffield Lane (signed Elstead, Cutmill). The top car park is a little over a mile on the right.
The walk - Distance 5.4 miles. Undulating, with some steeper climbs and descents, across varied terrain. Paths generally well drained and dry under foot but occasionally muddy sections following wet weather. 1 Stiles, 3 road crossings.
Note: Access to the top car park is only available from Puttenham village at the moment due to the long term closure of Suffield Lane at the southern end by The Tarn (culvert replacement). Note: Don't be put off by the Road Closed signs positioned prominently at the start of Suffield Lane (opposite The Good Intent pub) and the barrier that blocks half of the road at that point, access to the top car park is still fine.
