The Snowdrop Walk
The full snowdrop walk around the Beech Woods can take a fast walker 30 minutes but at a more sedate pace, enjoying the amazing spread and scent of the flowers and the formal garden, can take up to an hour or so. There are also paths along the River Lambourn for you to enjoy. There are special paths marked for pushchairs and wheelchairs users. There is one section of river path however which we only allow walkers and access is through a kissing gate. The river bridges in this section should be treated with respect. They are quite safe if you are responsible crossing them.
The Old Laundry Tearoom & Heated Marquee
We have two spaces serving the same menu. The old Laundry tearoom and the heated marquee which is especially suitable for those with dogs and children as it is more spacious. Both Tearooms are open from 11:00 a.m. serving homemade cakes, scones, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and juices. Lunches are served from 12:00 p.m. We take great trouble to source locally what we cannot provide ourselves.

Conkers Garden Centre in Basingstoke is a family run centre that opened its doors in 1987. Trading from a much smaller building, it has over the past 30 years grown into a large, modern business, offering excellent quality and outstanding value. You will find a wonderful range of plants and gardening essentials as well as an extensive and interesting selection of homeware and gifts!
THE RIVERBANK TEA ROOM
The Riverbank Tea Room is open 9.15am -5.00pm Monday to Saturday, opening 10-15am -3.45pm on Sunday. Offering cooked breakfasts, brunches, lunches and afternoon teas. They have a huge selection of light bites and meals, followed by home baked cakes, cooked on the premises in the in-house patisserie, Patisserie Audrey! The Tea Room is located on the banks of the River Lyde, which is a beautiful chalk stream that rises only a few miles away You can sit on the patio and enjoy the tranquillity it brings, a great place to be when the sun is shining.
