DIRECTIONS: From Junction 5 of the M3 take the B3349 towards Hook. At the 1st roundabout take the first exit Station Rd. At the next roundabout take the 1st exit A30 London Rd towards Basingstoke. Newnham Road is the 4th turning on the right immediately after the war memorial. There is no designated car park for the war memorial but on the recce there was plenty of roadside parking both in Newnham Road and  surrounding streets. Meet at the memorial.

THE WALK: The 5.5 mile route takes us through established pathways and quickly into open farmland and woodland. We track around the village of Rotherwick before returning to Hook. Generally flat - just a couple of minor inclines, and just one stile to negotiate. There are six minor road crossings en route. Absolutely bone dry under foot at the moment as you’d expect.
