Rambling
Overview: Regular walks of approximately 5 miles in Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire with a start point within 15 miles of Ash.
When: Fortnightly on a Wednesday starting at 10:00 (unless otherwise advertised).
Leaders: Andy Fuller 01252 315762 / 07775 981059 : Nigel Bagley 01252 327572 / 07932 212691
Additional information: The group currently numbers around 30 members. Walks take about 2½ hours and at the end some like to finish off with a drink and maybe a bite to eat in a nearby pub.
Walks programme: Details of upcoming walks, with start points and directions, are added to this page as they become available, please see below. Members are required to get themselves to the start point. Car sharing is encouraged.
Equipment etc: Walking boots/shoes are strongly recommended along with suitable waterproofs. A good supply of water, particularly on hot and humid days, should be brought. A break is taken at around half distance for light refreshments (bring your own).
It is regretted, but sorry, no dogs on walks as there may be stiles and we occasionally cross fields containing animals.
Additional events: We also organise occasional special events through the year. These include London walks, a coach trip and weekends away.
Give us a try: New members are always very welcome to try us out and see if the Rambling Group is for them.
COVID-19
- Anyone suffering from COVID-19 symptoms or who shares a household with someone suffering from them should NOT attend a walk.
- Participants should bring a face mask in case of need.
